Standing in Utah
Grace just needed a little motivation. The day after the Early Intervention people came she decided to try out her legs again. While in Utah she was very brave and stood unassisted several times. In the last photo I guess that she stood for nearly 2 minutes because she was so fascinated by her shadow on the dishwasher. She was mesmerized and just waved her hands in front of it for a while before she realized what she had done and sat down.

My Grace

As many of you may know, we've been worried about Grace's development lately. Today we had some people from Early Intervention come and evaluate her to see where she's at developmentally. She scored pretty high on a lot of their tests, but as suspected is only at an 11 month level with her gross motor skills. I am so thankful that there are programs like this so that moms like me don't have to worry so much. They are also going to help me with Grace's eating problems. She has improved a lot since my post two months ago, but we still have a long way to go. I am also thankful for the support group I have with my friends and family! You guys are awesome! We are lucky to have you!
UPDATE: I know it's only the next day and that we haven't done anything different sense yesterday, but I am proud to report that several times today Grace stood unsupported! Erik is afraid she will learn to walk while we are in Utah and he will miss it.
